Completing my year-long photography project at Humber Bay Shores was a test of patience, endurance, and passion. I set out to create 11 custom images that captured the magic of all four seasons—spring blossoms, summer’s golden light, fall’s fiery leaves, and winter’s icy embrace.

Over a year, I returned to the area in every imaginable condition—scorching summer heat, crisp autumn mornings, and brutal winter chills. But one night stood out. It was the night of the full super moon.

I meticulously planned my shot, using photo tools to position myself where the rising moon would align with the bridge. But nature had other plans. A thick layer of clouds hugged the horizon, obscuring the moon just as it was set to appear. Disappointed but determined, I waited.

As the moon rose higher, it finally broke free, casting a mesmerizing glow over the water. What I hadn’t planned for was the reflection—a massive, glowing moonbeam stretching across the lake’s surface. The effect was surreal, almost otherworldly. As if that weren’t enough, kayakers silently drifted across the scene, their shadowy figures adding an element of mystery.

This image was everything I had hoped for and more—a perfect blend of nature’s unpredictability and the reward of persistence. Capturing this moment was the ultimate culmination of a project that had pushed my skills and creativity to new levels.
