Photographing the Full Blood Moon Total Eclipse on March 14, 2025, was an adventure like no other. A total lunar eclipse is rare, happening once every three years on average. Even if you’re in the right location, visibility is never guaranteed—clouds can block the view, making all preparation futile. As I set up my gear at midnight, my biggest worry was the unpredictable weather. But as luck would have it, the skies cleared, revealing a spectacular celestial event.
Capturing the entire eclipse meant staying focused for six hours. The moon slowly transitioned from its bright, silvery glow into the deep, haunting red of totality. During this phase, the challenge of exposure became real—the blood-red moon emits very little light, requiring precise camera settings to avoid blur while maintaining detail. I continuously adjusted my settings, carefully balancing ISO, shutter speed, and aperture to capture every phase in stunning detail.
As the moon slowly emerged from its shadow, I felt a sense of relief and accomplishment. The final step was assembling the images into a sequence to showcase the entire transformation. The result? A breathtaking timeline of the eclipse, a once-in-a-lifetime event frozen in time. I feel truly blessed to have witnessed this nature’s celestial masterpiece and to share this print with you.
