The Autumn season is such a special time of the year in Ontario, Canada, and it creates some spectacular Golden Fall Leaves. The weather is cool and crisp, the sunlight is bright and you get to wear your favorite fleece jackets, turtlenecks and jeans. Taking time to walk around a small picturesque town that has some small boutique stores then visiting coffee shops and having coffee and a pastry can be so therapeutic. However, in my humble opinion, the best part of Autumn in Ontario is the colors. The glorious colors of the leaves changing everywhere.
Taking walks in an autumn-colored forest is truly magical. On one of my photo journeys to capture the colors of Autumn, I visited Mono Cliffs Provincial Park, north of Toronto, as it is well known for its fall colors. With camera gear in hand and energy snacks and water to keep up with the physical requirements of hiking up and down the hills for half a day, we came upon this beautiful stand of yellow tress. In fact, as far as the eye could see, all you saw was yellow tress, it was quite spectacular. The sky was blue, and it contrasted nicely against the yellow leaves which seemed to glow due to the sun that was shining through them. I saw this scene as more of a painting, not just a photograph. I already new this would be an image that would be further enhanced with the addition of my Painterly Art technique during postproduction.
