This beautiful Galapagos Pink Flamingo Print, were taken in the famous Galapagos Islands, located approx. 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean. I finally had my dream opportunity to photograph many fish, birds, reptiles and animals who have not changed much from the prehistoric times. On this day, our zodiac boat carried us across the choppy waters and into an alcove where we were able to safely disembark onto the shore.

With my two DSLR’s and associated lenses safely stored in a watertight “marine dry bag”, we exited the boat hip deep into the water, and then began our walk to opposite side of the island. With camera in hand and walking through the jungles I was able to capture a variety of flora and animals. Finally we arrived at the “flamingo cove”. Wow! What a beautiful site. Of the many images I captured, this image seemed to capture majesty of the bird standing a perfect pose. Bright orange and pink color in contrast to the deep blue waters of the Galapagos Islands, this bird will make everyone take a second, long lasting look. The image captures the flamingo's straight legs and knees, curved neck and kinked bill with black tip.
