It was one of those perfect summer mornings when the air is still and the world is just waking up. I decided to take my bike out early, heading towards Etobicoke along the Humberview trail, eager to capture some of Toronto's most striking condos reflected in the calm waters of a bay in Lake Ontario.

As I pedaled along the trail, the sky began to lighten, taking on a warm golden hue as the sun began its ascent. The clouds were scattered, creating interesting patterns that promised to make the perfect backdrop for my photos. I felt a rush of excitement; mornings like this are what photographers dream of.

Reaching the trail along the lake, I started my search for the perfect vantage point. The Empire Condominiums condos stood tall, their sleek lines and modern architecture waiting to be mirrored in the still water. However, finding the right spot proved to be a bit of a challenge. The shoreline was lined with bushes and trees, making it tricky to find a clear view.

Undeterred, I began to explore, walking behind the dense foliage, peering through gaps, and occasionally crouching to get a better perspective. It was a quiet, almost meditative process. The only sounds were the gentle lapping of the water against the shore and the distant hum of the city waking up.

After what felt like an eternity, I found it – the perfect spot. The bushes parted just enough to give a clear view of the condos across the lake. The reflection was stunning, almost surreal. The buildings stood tall and proud, perfectly mirrored in the tranquil water, framed by the golden morning light and the interesting cloud patterns above.

I set up my camera, taking my time to get the composition just right. Each click of the shutter felt incredibly satisfying, capturing the essence of a quiet morning along the lake in Toronto. The final images were everything I had hoped for – a beautiful, serene moment that showcased the city in a way that felt almost magical.

The effort was worth it. This morning adventure reminded me why I love photography and the joy of capturing those fleeting moments that make the early wake-ups and long searches worthwhile.
