The world famous Big Sur coast of California, is one of the most photographed coasts in California due to its rugged shoreline, crashing waves and fantastic sunsets. This location of the coast is 120 miles (190 km) south of San Francisco and 13 miles (21 km) south of Carmel in Monterey County along State Route 1. This Highway 1 that runs along the Pacific coast of the United States, is incredibly picturesque, and I would think it’s of the most beautiful drives in the world.
With plenty of places to pullover and look at the magnificent scenery, crashing ocean waves and stunning sunsets, this particular stop allowed me the opportunity to capture a beautiful sunset. The turquoise water and setting sun which is giving the shore a magnificent warm color, which just happens to be the very definition of California Dreaming.
