On a sunny morning in Lisbon, we were picked up in a classic convertible Citroen by our guide for the day trip to the enchanting Sintra region. The drive through the picturesque Portuguese countryside was nothing short of magical. The wind in our hair and the sun on our faces made it feel like a scene straight out of a movie.
Our first stop was the stunning Pena Palace, perched atop a hill with its colorful facade and fairy-tale architecture. We wandered through its grand halls and lush gardens, soaking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The manmade tidal pool fed by the ocean was a perfect spot for a refreshing swim, with waves crashing dramatically against the rocks. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with the sound of the sea and the laughter of locals enjoying the day.
