The Autumn Colors season is such a special time of the year in Ontario, Canada, and this Painterly Photo Art piece that I created captures the beautiful and calming colors and textures. The weather is cool and crisp, the sunlight is bright and you get to wear your favorite fleece jackets, turtlenecks and jeans. Taking time to walk around a small picturesque town that has some small boutique stores then visiting coffee shops and having coffee and a pastry can be so therapeutic. However, in my humble opinion, the best part of Autumn in Ontario is the colors. The glorious colors of the leaves changing everywhere.

Taking walks in an autumn-colored forest is truly magical. On one of my photo journeys to capture the colors of Autumn, I visited Mono Cliffs Provincial Park, north of Toronto, as it is well known for its fall colors. With camera gear in hand and energy snacks and water to keep up with the physical requirements of hiking up and down the hills for half a day, we came upon this beautiful small, serene lake in the middle of forest of colored trees. The motionless water created a perfect mirror and with the sun’s position behind me, the brightly colored leaves on the trees seemed so vibrant and alive. This scene deserved some additional time to take in the calm and the colors.
