Looking for a uniquely stunning black and white architectural piece of art for your wall? In my opinion, Architecture Photography in Dubai, will have you seeing more beautiful modern architecture than any other city in the world. This image of the Cayan Tower is a prime example. During my first trip to Dubai, I must have taken 3,000 images of the many buildings that held my eyes captive. The shapes, materials and colors of these architectural marvels will leave you speechless. One day during a “jump on / jump off” tour, the bus went into the Dubai Marina. The Marina is an artificial canal city, built along a 3-kilometre (2 mi) stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline, and it was inspired by the Concord Pacific Place development along False Creek in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
As we turned a corner I was captivated by a tall stainless and glass tower that twisted into the sky. I loved it, I could not stop staring at it. Yes, I had finally arrived at the Cayan Tower. This tower, which was originally called Infinity Tower before it was inaugurated, is a 306-metre-tall (1,004 ft), 75-story skyscraper. The tower was designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill SOM architectural group. Upon its opening on 10 June 2013, the tower became world's tallest high-rise building with a twist of 90 degrees.
My goal was to capture an image of this Cayan Tower which could act as a piece of canvas art on a wall, forcing the viewer to get captured in its dynamic beauty, strength and clean curved lines. My final image here, provides a look at the upper half of the building which seems to curve into space. If you ever get to Dubai, please ensure to stop by the Marina and enjoy the stunning architecture including one of my favorites – the Cayan Tower.
