Prague is a city of stories, and its doors are the covers to countless chapters of history. As I wander the cobblestone streets, I can’t help but stop at every unique door I pass. Each one is an artwork of craftsmanship, blending past and present, function and beauty.
Doors are more than just entrances; they are transitions. They mark the threshold between the known and the unknown, the public and the private. They secure spaces, protect secrets, and welcome those invited. The way they are designed speaks volumes about the culture, the time period, and the people who have passed through them.
The door before me is magnificent—ornate ironwork in blue and bronze colors, deep wooden grains, and a rich patina of age. It’s set within an arched stone frame, its details whispering tales of old-world artisans. The handle, worn smooth by generations of hands, is a reminder of the lives that have touched it.
I frame my shot carefully, capturing the intricate carvings and the way the afternoon light casts shadows across its weathered surface. This door is part of my Prague door collection, a tribute to the city's European elegance, where history and craftsmanship meet in perfect harmony.
